If the odds start with a plus sign, it tells you the profit you stand to earn from a $100 wager. A $275 bet on Williams would have netted you a $100 profit if she had won the match. If you see a minus symbol at the start of a set of WTA odds, it tells you the amount of money you need to wager in order to generate a $100 profit. Unless they are very evenly matched, you will see a favorite and an underdog. They will then assign odds to each player.
